The organisers of the Monocot Biodiversity Informatics symposium at Monocots V in New York this July 7-13 (http://www.regonline.com/builder/site/Default.aspx?EventID=1060172) are planning ½ day workshops to provide basic scratchpad (http://scratchpads.eu/) training .

If you, a colleague or group of colleagues will be at the conference and would like to attend these workshops, please contact Laurence Livermore (laurence.livermore at gmail.com<mailto:laurence.livermore at gmail.com>). Scratchpad team staff will also be on hand to help individuals or communities already using scratchpads to upload content to sites/resolve issues or to set up new eMonocot scratchpads etc. Again, please contact Laurence in this regard if you have queries.

We are hoping to help as many monocot systematists as possible to get their work online in New York this summer.

All the best,

Paul
