http://www.per.cuhk.edu.hk/jvadm/jv_for_new_site.asp?id=1213/125%28737%29/2 The School of Life Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, invites applications for a faculty post at Associate Professor / Assistant Professor level in the area of plant systematics and biodiversity.Applicants should have (i) a doctoral degree in a relevant biological science discipline; and preferably (ii) experience in molecular/genomic approach to plant systematics or ecology. Knowledge on flora of southern China will be helpful.The appointee will be expected to (a) teach courses in plant biology and/or ecology; (b) serve as curator of the Shiu-Ying Hu Herbarium of the School and oversee the operation and management of the Herbarium; (c) develop a competitive research programme; and (d) collaborate with faculty members on plant biotechnology, or ecology/conservation.Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2013, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
