INFORMATICS HORIZONS - LIVESTREAM BROADCAST July 24th 2013

The Natural History Museum, London, will be hosting a series of talks
to showcase various museum informatics, web activities and partner
projects on Wednesday July 24th, starting at 09:30 (GMT +01:00). This
is primarily an an internal event. However, we will be live streaming
video of the presentations via YouTube and will take questions from
those watching via Twitter (#nhminfo) and Google Docs

The event includes two keynote speakers: Donald Hobern, Director of
GBIF (http://tinyurl.com/gbif-dh), who will be speaking on the
landscape of biodiversity informatics; and Sir Nigel Shadbolt, who
amongst his many roles is Information Advisor to UK Government
(http://users.ecs.soton.ac.uk/nrs/). Nigel will be speaking on Open
Data and the Value of Openess.
