And persuing that analogy, exploration without adventure is analogous to corporate taxonomy in too many cases ...

This reminds me of a similar quote by my friend Bill Stone (Cave explorer):
"The difference between adventure  and exploration is data."

Not particularly relevant to Taxacom (though sort of....); but along the
same lines of thought, at least.
