Yes, bc we are already so popular. I understand the irksome factor in
self-promotion but considering that, Costello's papers aside, we have a
recruitment issue, maybe we should dance around every so often. BBC
coverage is a good example. Every time some insect crosses the Channel they
report it like it is breaking news. Is it scientifically important? Not
really, but it makes it more exciting.

As a final note, not all species are "created" equal. Sixty dragonflies, to
a layman, is more significant than sixty midges. The midge specialist (and
Stephen) may disagree but that is reality. People are naturally biased.
Exploit it.
