Dear Prof. Pirani,

Thank you very much for your kind and ready reply.

I have surveyed all angiosperm taxa that could present this pattern.

And it seems to be more uncommon that I had supposed.

Cheers,

Vitor

Dear Vitor,

You'll find interesting "dehiscent drupes" in Burseraceae (Protium and allied genera).

Cheers,

Pirani

Assunto: [Taxacom] flesh and also dehiscent fruits

Dear taxacomers,

I am looking for studies on *flesh and also dehiscent fruits*, focusing on
anatomy/morphology of opening process. I know it’s an uncommon combination,
and it has been a hard task to found examples…

Does anyone know any study? And also which angiosperm families it occurs in?

Any help is very welcome.

Cheers,

Vitor
