To all users and custodians of natural history collections:
As part of the SYNTHESYS project (www.synthesys.info<http://www.synthesys.info>) an analysis is being made of the extent to which digitisation reduces the need for physical access and physical loans of specimens in natural history collections.
Some institutions have already made quantitative analyses of the effect, but in order to get as broad a view as possible the Natural History Museum of Copenhagen, on behalf of SYNTHESYS, is conducting a survey among custodians and users of natural history collections.
If you are a user of natural history collections and/or a custodian of such a collection, you are invited to fill in one or both of two VERY SMALL questionnaires which are available at
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1JB8y-VG9x_jSz_b15Xf4qZqfdxSXg0KaxDQoyEkdJuc/viewform?hl=en (for users).
and https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16pwzXcJFr8KdDc_tNTQFmGax1mY3pE42VowoTEC8uj0/viewform?hl=en
(for custodians)

If you are aware of analyses of the effects of digitisation, whether published or not, I would be grateful for information about them.

Kind regards,
