[Taxacom] Help with Hycleus oculatus please

RE (1) above: according to Muller, S. and Rookmaaker, L.C: The South
African Insects Described by Carl Peter Thunberg (1991:
www.rhinoresourcecenter.com/pdf_files/117/1175858015.pdf) Thunberg's
Mylabris oculata of 1821 was based on his own Meloe oculatus of 1791. So
those two taxa would appear to be the same, also as Hycleus oculatus,
however preferably you should get an expert to confirm this.
