Apologies in advance for this lightweight note. Viewed an example on the
web where a student was presented with three pictures of giraffes and host
tree. First pic. Two tall enough to reach foliage. Second pic, short
giraffe dead of starvation, tall giraffes happily feeding. Third pick,
short giraffe desiccated, tall giraffes happily feeding.
Student was asked to identify which choice the diagram best illustrates
a. Lamark's theory of evolution's
b. Darwin's theory of evolution.
c. Malthus's principles
d. Lyell's theory about past changes
The student chose e. "giraffes are heartless creatures"
You can groan if you like. There was also one asking to name six animals
living in polar regions. Answer - two polar bears and four seals.
