[Taxacom] Forcing ORCID on researchers

Carlos,

I celebrate your right not to have an ORCID.

I also celebrate the rights of journals and other people providing services to require their users to have one.

Liberty works both ways.

p.s. It would be useful for us naives to hear your specific objection to ORCID over, for example, Research Gate (which you rate so highly as to have in your email signature) or any other system of identifying people in the research sphere.
