[Taxacom] Delicately put...

I was rather taken by this very mild critique of an issue in the zoological
Code, in a footnote to an article published a few days ago ("Of elephants
and errors: naming and identity in Linnaean taxonomy", History and
Philosophy of the Life Sciences volume 42, Article number: 43, 2020):

[Footnote 20] "The ICZN also mentions a third notion, the zoological taxon,
which is defined as “A natural taxon of animals (which may, or may not,
have had a name applied to it).” Interestingly, this notion does not appear
in the actual text of the Code, but leads a quiet life in the Glossary."

In case it raises a smile in these (ahem) "interesting" times...

Regards to all,
