The real problem is not the PhyloCode in itself, but rather the pretensions of the phylocoders to dominate over the whole of the contemporary and future systematics. The worse is that editorial boards of the respective journals appear to follow usually their clauses and reject submitted articles with paraphyletic taxa. Such dictate of cladistic ideology is against the general principle of the freedom of scientific thought. And parallel application of traditional and phylogenetic nomenclature threatens instablity the whole of taxonomic nomenclature.
